About the Trust Fund

The Alexandria United Methodist Church Trust Fund was established in 1997 with the first contribution made in July of 1998. The Fund has a five-member Board of Trustees, and the funds are professionally managed by Bell Bank. The purpose of the Trust Fund is to provide a permanent source of special funds for worthy programs and projects in the Alexandria United Methodist Church, the community, and the world.

Since 2014 the Trust Fund has given almost $67,000 to non-profits. Previous recipients include Elder Network, Douglas County Car Care Program, Dodoma Tanzania Health Partnership, Butterfly Hill Nature Preschool, Miracle Horse Riders, Legal Services of NW Minnesota, Alexandria YMCA, UMC Fellowship Gardens, the Alex UMC Roof project, Runestone Museum Foundation and the Lowell and Ruth Gess Eye Hospital (Kissey).
