Sunday School
9:15AM - 10:15AM every Sunday from September to May
Our 2018-2019 Sunday school year will begin on Sunday, September 9th. Registration forms are available below. Completed forms can be dropped off at church or emailed to Kayla Brunkow, Director of Children's Ministries, at kayla@alexumc.org.

Wednesday Night Activities for 3rd - 5th Grade Students
5:30PM - 7:30PM every Wednesday night from September to May
We will begin our evening with a meal provided from 5:30PM to 6:00PM followed by worship and small group activities. During our small group time we will GRAPPLE with some of the big questions preteens have. We will tackle the questions together, learning how to search the Bible for truth and not settling for pat answers. Kids will learn to own their faith as they dig deep into God's Word to answer their deepest questions and build a faith foundation that guides wise choices.

Held at various times throughout the year
Several events are held throughout the year for children and their families. These activities are often free or have minimal costs associated with them and emphasize Christian Fellowship. Below are our upcoming events.
Blessing of the Backpacks
September 2019
We are sending our students back to school with our prayers and blessings. We will hold a Blessing of the Backpacks during both worship services this day. All students (preschool through high school) are invited to bring their backpacks to worship and join us for a special blessing. After the blessing, students will receive a special tag to place on their backpack to remind them that their church family will be praying for them throughout the year.
Bible Presentation
September 2019
The Children's Ministry Team presents all 3-year-olds with a Deep Blue Storybook Bible. UMW presents all 3rd grade students with a children's Bible. Presentations happen during both worship services.
Camp Sunday/Soup'r Sundae Lunch
February 2020
Every February have our annual Soup'r Sundae Lunch and all proceeds will go towards camperships for our children and youth. Camperships are available to all children and youth that attend a Christian camp. They are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. A child or youth can receive a campership for half the cost of their registration up to $125.
Community Easter Egg Hunt
April 2020
Every year we hide more than 4,000 eggs making it one of the largest Easter Egg Hunts in our area. The hunt is free and open to everyone. Each participant receives a treat bag and is eligible for door prizes.
